SGCH Carousel's Kootenai 4/12/1996 - 11/30/2008

Our beloved Kootenai passed away in her sleep last night. Koots was our original foundation Dam and our daughter Summer's Showmanship animal when she was in 4-H. We were blessed to have her as part of our family for 11 years. We miss her but she will live on in our hearts and her offspring.

We had the first addition to our Fallow Deer born June 12th. Karen came in the house and said we had a suprise in the thicket. We found a fawn doe cuddled up in the straw. Tawnee has spent a week in the house with us, we substituted a playpen for the straw. After watching her on a tile floor, I now see where they got Bambi on ice.

We have added Fallow Deer to the mouths that we feed. If all go well, we will have Fawns in June! They add a whole new dimension to the fun on the farm.
